Air Products (NYSE: APD), a world-leading industrial gases company, has been presented the “Excellent Service Award” by the organizer of the Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Fair 2017 at its 30th Anniversary Celebration held in Shanghai today. Air Products has been the official gases supplier to this leading global welding trade fair for eight consecutive years and is the only gases provider among the seven companies recognized for their distinguished professional contribution to the Fair’s continuing success.
Since 2010, Air Products has supplied over 3,000 cylinders of its specially formulated Linx® shielding gases and conventional shielding gases to key welding and cutting OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) at the Essen Fair. This reliable gases supply has impressed both exhibitors and visitors by enabling a superior welding performance in live demonstrations.
“We are honored to receive this award as the official gases supplier of the Fair for eight consecutive years. This high recognition reflects the outstanding product quality, reliability and technical support we provide to welding and cutting manufacturers as well as end-users,” commented Brandon Fu, vice president, Asia Strategy, Marketing and Technology, Industrial Gases of Air Products. “With our differentiated offerings and profound expertise, we help today’s OEMs achieve the best results at the Fair and also in their daily operations. The ‘Made in China 2025’ industrial masterplan is fueling the further development of high-end manufacturing sectors including robotics, biopharmaceuticals, advanced rail, and maritime, while our optimized gases and solutions can enable OEMs to seize these growth opportunities with optimized product performance.”
For the past 30 years, Air Products has been developing innovative gas solutions as part of its commitment to supporting China’s metal fabrication industries. The carefully blended Linx® shielding gases, launched in China in 2009, help enhance the overall competitiveness of local manufacturers with improved product quality and welding efficiency. For easier, safer and more economical welding operations, the company introduced the GastrakTM economizers and Integra® cylinders in 2014 and 2016, respectively. At this year’s Essen Fair, Air Products’ supply of all shielding gases in Integra cylinders provide exhibitors with this brand new experience in their operations.
Visitors at the Fair are invited to stop by Air Products’ booth N3386 to learn more about its flexible gas supply modes, which cater to different volume requirements of China’s manufacturing industry. The company’s fabrication industry experts are on hand to demonstrate how its unique products work seamlessly together for an optimal welding performance.
The Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Fair attracts about 200 exhibitors and over 40,000 visitors every year from all over the world. At this year’s award ceremony, the organizer also presented another accolade, the “Best Exhibitor Award,” to 46 exhibitors including Panasonic, OTC, and Tangshan Kaiyuan for their continuous participation in this show.
