Workshops for Warriors Hosting Career Fair

Workshops for Warriors is inviting employers to their all-day hiring event at their San Diego location on Friday, December 1st.

Workshops for Warriors is an organization which provides quality training, accredited STEM educational programs, and opportunities to earn third party nationally recognized credentials to enable veterans, transitioning service members, and other students to be successfully trained and placed in their chosen advanced manufacturing career field.

The organization was founded by Hernàn Luis y Prado, a U.S. Navy officer with combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Hernàn has said, “I saw many of my fellow service members feeling lost with no path to a successful civilian life. I needed to change that.”

The December 1st event will give employers the chance to have one-on-one interviews with Workshops for Warriors students who will soon be graduating with machining and welding credentials.

The center teaches students a variety of manufacturing skills, including computer-aded design, machinery repair and maintenance, welding and fabrication, CNC milling and turning, CNS laser and waterjet, and 3D printing. The American Welding Society is one of the accrediting bodies.
